GLOSSARY

COUPON

Nominal interest, generally periodic and expressed as a percentage of the nominal value of the asset, which the holders of a bond have the right to be paid. It could be fixed (when its specific amount is fixed at the time of issue) or variable (when the amount is revised at certain moments in time). Among Treasury Securities, Government Bonds (Bonos and Obligaciones del Estado) pay an annual coupon, which for all the currently open references is fixed.
